The more disk space you have the more files, pages, emails, and more everything your account will be able to store on our server.

Bandwidth

Bandwidth can be best described as gas for a car. If your web site runs out of bandwidth nobody will be able to visit it. 1GB of bandwidth is equal to over 500,000 hits. The average account with us uses less than 1 GB of bandwidth a month. Your bandwidth number used will reset back to zero on the first of every month.

Monthly Price

All of our hosting plans come with the option to pay monthly or yearly. The price will never increase as long as you keep your account with us. We are in Oregon and there is no tax on any of our prices. The price you see is the TOTAL price you will pay.

POP 3 Email Accounts

This is the number of POP accounts you get. POP accounts are used to send and receive emails through programs such as Outlook Express and Eudora.

Sub Domains

A normal domain name looks like http://www.domain.com a sub domain looks like http://sub.domain.com. These can be created very easily in Cpanel by creating a folder and then creating a subdomain with the same name. This then becomes it's own domain on the web and is seen as it's own domain. Sub domains may take several hours to propagate the web

MySQL Databases

MySql is the world's most popular open source database. Many forums and other database driven programs require MySql to run. We use version 4.0.13

FTP

FTP stands for File transfer protocol. Having multiple ftp accounts will allow you to give friends and employees their own FTP account. This will allow you to give them as little or as much access to your web site as you choose.

CGI

Common Gateway Interface allows for your programs to be used with HTTP daemons. Most web sites use multiple cgi scripts. You will get a cgi-bin; however your cgi scripts will work both inside and outside of it.

PHP

Php is a server side HTML embedded scripting language. We use version 4.3.1 Most websites use php.

Perl

Perl is a language that runs with CGI. We use version 5.006001

Python

Python is a programming/scripting language that can be used on many different computers and operating systems.

SSI

Server Side includes, refers to Perl based HTML commands that direct a server to generate on-the-fly contact for web pages.

Cron

Crontab is a process in Unix systems that uses a Daemon called cron to execute commands for the user at a certain time.

FrontPage Extensions

You can setup a mail forwarder. Doing this will forward all your mail to any email address you wish. You may also set up only a single email address to forward or have one email address which forwards to many.
